Collector

"CUT3 Collector" acts as a data receptor for a Helix database and monitors the availability of "CUT3 Accessor", if required.
"CUT3 Collector" is in fact a TCP/IP server that accepts connections from "CUT3 Time TellTale" clients to receive the data and load that data to the Helix database.
"CUT3 Collector" also monitors :
- the availability of the
Helix database. Should the database be
unavailable or in maintenance mode "CUT3 Collector" will
refuse
data transfers until the database is made available. Alerts indicating
the unavailabilty status may be issued by email.
- The availability of "CUT3
Accessor" (if required - see CUT3 Time
TellTale).
If unavailable
then the same conditions apply as for the unavailability of the Helix
Database.
